Stanford Town Hall
The Town of Stanford was constructing an addition to the town hall. The foundation for the new addition was to be built alongside the existing footing, and approximately 5 feet deeper. Helical piles were used to stabilize the existing footing. This allowed the general contractor to excavate along side the existing structure without undermining the foundation. FSI installed 13 helical piles connected to high strength foundation brackets. This took the load off the soil and transferred it deeper to load bearing material allowing the site to be excavated below the existing structure’s footing depth.
