City of Harrison, NY. Sewer Upgrades
Existing sanitary sewer lines and water lines were being upgraded in the city of Harrison. The new lines were to be run under the road in an area with soil conditions unsuitable to support the load of the new water line and D.I.P. sewer. Large amounts of silty sands and a high water table required the need for a deep foundation to support the sewer and water lines. The sequential process required excavation, installation of grouted helical piles, forming and pouring support pads, piping new water and sewer lines and backfilling. FSI worked on a critical schedule during which main streets in the city of Harrison were closed. FSI completed the installation of 90 grouted piles over the course of 2 weeks.
